A fair bit of thought has gone into the interactive tutorials. They’ve been put together using audio and video, with professional-looking animations.

As perhaps an indication of how powerful the average dive computer has become, there are 41 lessons available in total.

Subjects covered range from programming your Puck or Icon HD pre-dive, navigating with the compass, decompression settings and gas switching.

On the screen is a ‘virtual dive’ simulating each various situations. There are quizzes along the way and at the end, the student is subjected to a final test.

The class costs $11.99, so if you own a Mares Puck or Icon HD and the features have left you a bit baffled, this looks like a cheap way of getting more out of it.
