Halcyon Mini-Explorer torch arrives
Mini light cannon punches above its weight
A new handheld pocket torch from Halcyon has arrived in the UK.
The Mini-Explorer is a compact, portable torch packing the power of much larger light cannons.
Broadly the size of the average smartphone, the new unit from Halcyon Exploration can fit easily into a pocket.
In this respect, it should prove popular with both recreational and technical divers alike.
The LED light cluster is described as ‘nearly indestructible’ and expected to last up to 10,000 hours.
It has an optional folding Goodman handle as befits an exploration tool, with a hands-free use design as standard.
Three AA batteries can deliver up to 4.5 hours of continuous run time using Lithium Ultimate cells.
The Halcyon Mini-Explorer emits 5875 lux at 1 metre, or 545 lumens per square-foot.
