Oonasdivers is adding a new short Red Sea safari to its itineraries in 2012, ideal for landlubbers.

Available from February, the new route is based around the southern, lesser-used Egyptian port of Hamata.

Customers will get three nights on board Blue Planet 1, taking in the deep south sites of St Johns and Fury Shoals.

This is followed by 4 nights at the Lahami Azur resort in Hamata with daily boat diving on offer.

Oonas says this offers the best of both worlds for UK divers wanting some deep water excitement who don’t want an entire week at sea.
