Rod Macdonald readies fifth book
Exploits of one of the country’s top technical divers
UK dive author Rod Macdonald is to publish The Darkness Below this September.
A sub-sea explorer since the early 1980s, Rod is already established as one of the country’s top technical divers.
His previous four books were best sellers, and are essential reading for British scuba enthusiasts.
They are ‘Dive Scapa Flow’, ‘Dive Scotland’s Greatest Wrecks’, ‘Dive England’s Greatest Wrecks’ and ‘Into the Abyss, diving to adventure in the liquid world’.
The new book contains humorous accounts of Macdonald’s diving exploits, thanks to a career fraught with danger that has taken him around the world.
Epic dives are recalled in minute detail, on topics as diverse as an attack of the bends to descending into a whirlpool.
The Darkness Below contains 240 pages and will be priced £18.99 in softback when it publishes in September 2011.
Readers can pre-register their interest in the book by e-mailing Whittles Publishing via info@whittlespublishing.com – who will contact you before publication.
