Scuba Santas required for charity
Festive dip at Vobster call-up for Father Christmas wannabees
Volunteer scuba diving Santas are required for a charity splash-in at Vobster Quay this December.
Scuba Santas has become something of an annual event, not only at the inland dive centre in Somerset but at various locations around the world.
For 2011, Vobster’s Father Christmas extravaganza takes place the week before Christmas, on Sunday 18th December.
The plan is to raise as much money for the RNLI as possible – a noble cause I’m sure you’d agree.
Participating Santas are asked to raise as much money as they can, either via good old fashioned sponsorship, or through the website JustGiving.
Key sponsors including Fourth Element, VR Technology and Sport Diver have offered up juicy raffle prizes too, with proceeds going to the RNLI.
All in all, it looks like a right laugh, it’s for a good cause, and when else do you get to go diving dressed as Santa Claus?
