Cressi modular fin revealed
Innovative design features detachable blades
The Cressi Gara Modular Fin offers something of a new concept in dive propulsion footwear.
I don’t know about you but my dive cupboard is stocked with various types of fin for different applications. There are split fins and conventional flat paddles, both open-heel fins for diving in the UK, and closed-foot for trips abroad or use in the pool.
blades are detachable
The Gara Modular Fin takes a more inclusive high-tech approach to fin design. The blades are detachable, making them more travel friendly than bulkier types.
And because they’re detachable you can also fit different shapes of blade into the foot, whether for free diving, scuba diving or just for personal preference.
The Gara Modular Fin will even accept blades made by other manufacturers, Cressi says.
To make life just that little bit easier, the foot pocket is self-adjusting and should comfortably fit various feet sizes, as well as accommodate neoprene socks.
Cressi offers the Gara Modular Fin in four sizes, priced at $219.95 (about 150 quid) in the USA. They’re not currently stocked in Europe but are available to buy from retailers online.
