Oceanic Predator set meets demands of UK freedivers
Predator line is designed for entry-level free divers and open-water hunters
Just below the surface of every aquatic adventure, Oceanic strives to build gear that helps owners push exploration into the deep end, and beyond. And with that higher purpose in mind, Oceanic has developed the Predator freedive kit to assist freedivers in diving past their comfort zone into new realms and possibilities.
Predator is designed for entry-level free divers and open-water hunters
Open water swimming has seen a resurgence in recent years, and interest in swim sports including ‘wild’ swimming continues to rise as the health benefits become known more widely. According to the National Open Water Coaching Association the number of outdoor swimmers surged 323% during the first year of the pandemic* alone. The British Freediving Association says there are many freediving clubs in the UK now training regularly, with more opening all the time.
The Predator line is designed for entry-level free divers and open-water hunters, but with the ease of use and quality you can expect from Oceanic. Stylishly designed and expertly crafted, the set -including mask, fins and snorkel – come in a contemporary blue camo print.
What’s in the kit
The Predator mask boasts an ultra-low-volume design with soft-squeeze buckles for easy adjustment and a comfortable universal skirt. Tinted lenses are constructed from super-durable tempered glass for many years of use.
The Predator fin features a full-foot design with a rigid long blade for excellent propulsion. A ribbed blade and side rails help focus the power of every stroke for maximum power and stability, and the foot pocket has a large heel pull tab for easy donning and doffing.
The Predator snorkel is a simple and reliable J-tube design with no valves or removable parts—just what freedivers are looking for.
As an optional extra, the Predator Bag is designed to carry the whole Predator Free Dive kit (including fins) and is the newest addition to the Oceanic Bag Collection. The carrier can easily pack up their freedive gear and use the shoulder sling strap to make their way to the boat, dock, beach or reef.
Timing
The new Oceanic Predator freedive kit is available from UK and Ireland Oceanic dealers, with first deliveries expected from April 2022. For more information visit Oceanic Worldwide, or hook up with Oceanic UK on Facebook and Instagram.
