TEKCamp workshops announced
Multitude of skills to feature at the first technical diving boot camp
TEKCamp organisers have announced the full workshop programme for the week-long event.
Running over five days in July, the inaugural TEKCamp takes place at Vobster Quay inland site in Somerset.
Ten of the country’s most accomplished technical diving instructors will be leading daily three hour long workshops.
Areas of special interest kick off with the successful use of rebreathers. Attendees will hit the water wearing a VR Sentinel unit.
But they might wish to the take the workshop on Propulsion through the water first – or use of Scooters during diving to cover larger distances.
Skills can be learnt and honed in the Line Laying, Stage Handling, Sidemount Diving and Controlled Ascents modules.
And Failures, Tech Rescue and the Dive & Survive sessions should prove useful for when the proverbial crud hits the fan.
TEKCamp 2011 at Vobster Quay runs from July 25-29th, and costs 300 pounds. Camping in an adjacent field costs an extra 25 for the five day event.
